Presentation

Treat yourself to a timeless wellness retreat

For a weekend, recharge your batteries at Chalet Mont Plaisir, an eco-lodge nestled in the Samoëns alpine pastures.

A peaceful haven surrounded by nature, offering cozy comfort and seasonal activities.

On the agenda: a wellness experience guided by Claire from Quiintessence, with one activity of your choice:

Wellness Activities (depending on the season, to be determined with the practitioner):

Yoga Hike (spring – summer – autumn):
Hatha Yoga, the yoga of energy, helps develop body awareness, improves breathing capacity, and calms the mind.
We will explore different parts of our body and being through breath and yoga postures as we hike. Yoga combined with hiking allows Nature to become a mirror of our inner selves.

Whether wild, gentle, or lush, we will strive to attune ourselves to its essence.

Sensory Walking (spring – summer – autumn):
Sensory walking awakens our senses one by one, allowing us to discover their more subtle dimensions and connect with the living world.
This active and mindful encounter with nature nourishes, invigorates, and relaxes our senses, which are often overstimulated by modern life.
Cultivating our capacity for wonder and awe enriches our inner life. It is beneficial to our mental well-being by allowing us to savor the present moment intensely.

Afghan Walking (year-round):
Afghan walking offers hikers a relaxing and almost meditative experience.

Originally practiced by the Maldar nomads on the high plateaus of Afghanistan, this way of walking combines relaxation and improved effort management in the mountains.

It emphasizes synchronizing breathing with the rhythm of steps.

Cold Yoga (Winter):
Cold yoga (tummo) practices were developed primarily by Tibetans in the Himalayas under very harsh conditions.

During our snowshoe hike, we will practice yoga postures, activate our breathing, contract our muscles, and rub our bodies to activate internal heat.

We will use our breath as a tool for awareness.
These are all techniques to reconnect with our environment and ourselves, and to learn how to better cope with the cold.
